The experience on offer
The Memorial of the Landings and the Liberation in Provence offers a guided city walk through Toulon city centre. Led by guides, this tour invites you to explore the events surrounding the city’s liberation in August 1944.

Along the route, you will discover sites marked by the fighting and hear testimonies from soldiers, resistance fighters and local residents. Monuments, squares and buildings take on a historical dimension, offering a deeper understanding of the traces left on the urban landscape.

The walk, which lasts around 1½ hours, is enhanced by content from the Bavart app. Using geolocation, you can access historical information, audio accounts and period photographs free of charge to explore each stage of the route in greater depth.
