Founded by the Greeks around 325 BC, the fortified town of Olbia, which means ‘the blessed’, was once a maritime port of call. Numerous Greek and Roman remains have been unearthed, including thermal baths, shops and settlements.
Self-guided tour: walk through the archaeological park at your own pace, armed with your tour guide, and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of the site.
Situated on a slight promontory on the seafront, Olbia is the only surviving example, preserved in its entirety, of a network of ancient roads.

The remains that have come to light provide an insight into the urban development of an ancient city over a period of 1,000 years.
There are fortifications, streets with sewers and pavements, a communal well, blocks of dwellings divided into houses, shops, thermal baths and a number of other features.
