The best way to discover Toulon is to take the cable car up to Mont Faron. The only one of its kind on the Mediterranean coast, the cable car with its pretty red cabin takes you to the top of Toulon's most famous mountain in just 6 minutes. On board, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills, the city, the harbour, the islands and the Mediterranean.
Once you've arrived, the memorial to the D-Day landings in Provence is just a few dozen metres away. Experience, almost day by day, the progress of the Allies who liberated Provence in 1944 thanks to an immersive and moving scenography. The memorial is one of the Ministry of Defence's 9 national memorial sites.

Opening times : the cable car will be closed on July 21 from 10:00 to 14:00 for maintenance
The Memorial is open every day, except end-of-year holidays and May 1st.
June to September: 10am > 12.30pm - 1.15pm > 6.30pm (non-stop in July and August)
October to May: 10am > 12.30pm - 1.15pm > 5.15pm
Last admissions 30 minutes before closing time.

- Please note: the cable car may be closed on windy days. It is best to contact the cable car reception desk before you arrive (04 94 92 68 25).
- Your dog may use the cable car with you free of charge as long as it is kept on a lead, but is not allowed inside the Memorial.
